Pupils are asked to submit a human rights article of 200-250 words, either from personal experience (eg, bullying, being a refugee or being involved in a campaign) or their interpretation of a human rights news story. The Guardian Learnnewsdesk and Amnesty are looking for a Young Human Rights Reporter of the Year.
The winner in each category (7-11 and 11-14 years old) will be announced in the Guardian and receive the following prizes:
Young Human Rights Reporter of the Year trophies to be awarded at the prestigious Amnesty Media Awards on 1 June
Publication of the winning articles on the Guardian and Amnesty websites, and extracts in the Guardian newspaper
VIP trips to Amnesty's Human Rights Action Centre and the Guardian newspaper HQ in London
Goodie bags including an easi-speak mp3 recorder
