Reporting to parents on Citizenship education in Key Stage 3

There appears to be confusion in the latest guidance from STA on Assessment and Reporting arrangements for KS3 2012. This document, recently sent to schools and LAs contains conflicting advice. On page 7 it states that all schools must report on all core and foundation subjects-as per normal-at the end of key stage 3. On page 11 it lists those subjects and misses out Citizenship education. Given that there has been no announcement from DfE of a change in regulations, schools are reminded to report to parents as usual. ACT is seeking further advice from DfE and STA about this and will post news as soon as it arrives.
