Using fraud and financial crime as the stimulus for an active citizenship campaign

Join us for the final session in our Fraud and Financial Crime series, this time focusing on how to develop an active citizenship project around this area of the curriculum.

Join us for our final workshop where we will explore how students can use the knowledge they have gained around Fraud and Financial Crime to plan and run an Active Citizenship campaign based on raising awareness of fraud or fraud prevention.

The session will explore how this important Citizenship topic can be the focus of students' campaigns from key stage 3 to GCSE. The process of planning and supporting students delivering an awareness campaign will be explored with the help of the ACTive Citizenship Toolkit.

Participants will have the opportunity to consider how they could apply this to their own contexts and ask questions of experienced teachers who have led a range of active citizenship projects in the past.

Attending all four sessions will lead to participants gaining a certificate from ACT and the Home Office giving national recognition for Fraud and Financial Crime Education Teaching.

Attending any single session will still be of great benefit and all participants will receive a certificate of attendance.
