The conference invites reflection on the overwhelming challenges facing the next generation and how the citizenship curriculum can support transformational outcomes.

We invite you to celebrate our 20th anniversary as a community of experts who can come together to reflect on what has been achieved in the world of Citizenship education, whilst making plans to prepare of the challenges facing the next generation.

The conference invites reflection on the overwhelming challenges facing the next generation; rising inequality, proliferation of misinformation and conspiracy theories, the impending climate crisis, and how the Citizenship curriculum can support transformational outcomes to ensure young people are equipped with the knowledge and skills to shape their communities for good and teachers are prepared to empower them to do so.

Programme

You will be able to attend practical workshops, listen to keynote speakers and have time to meet and network with colleagues and organisations that are committed to raising the standard of Citizenship education.

What you will leave with:

  • Provide you with practical ideas and teaching resources to use in your classroom
  • Prepare your school effectively for Ofsted
  • Develop key areas of the curriculum such as financial/economic education, media literacy, digital citizenship, and social injustice.

‘’I always really look forward to going to the conference. It’s an opportunity to meet people who are all working towards the same goals. It’s also inspiring to hear some inspirational speakers, pick up new materials, and get fired up for the next year.’’
