By the end of the conference, you will have new resources and ideas to try out in your classrooms, different approaches for how to teach power and protest as part of effective citizenship and democracy education in your school curriculum and a greater understanding of how both ACT and the People's History Museum can support you in your work.

You will also:

• see the permanent collections and the special anniversary Peterloo exhibition at the People's History Museum;
• develop new ways of working with real sources and artefacts to enhance your teaching;
• meet and network with newly qualified and experienced ACT teachers from across the country; 
• get up to date on national education policy and how Citizenship is part of the new Ofsted inspection framework

The day is ideal for teachers developing Citizenship, Personal Development, SMSC and the fundamental British Values.
