We're pleased to be the curriculum partner with the OAK national academy for citizenship.
ACT teachers have been designing and developing lessons for years 7-11. The online classroom and activities club was set up to help teachers and parents support their pupils and children during the Covid-19 pandemic.
This curriculum framework will help you think about the opportunities for teaching Economic and Finance Education (EFE) in Citizenship.
High quality EFE enables pupils to understand their role as responsible, active citizens in a modern, global society and builds understanding about how their choices and decisions relate to the economic and financial issues at personal, societal and global level.
The challenge provides a simple and engaging way for 14 - 18 year olds to develop their economic awareness and have their say on Budget 2011.
You have until the 4th March 2011 to enter your students after which we will take all the results and produce the first ever 'Youth Budget' to represent young people's economic priorities for the future. The winner of the competition will present the Youth Budget at HM Treasury, have their Budget published in The Times and win an iPad.
