For this academic year Giving Nation have teamed up with Give More to provide FREE resources to help students to identify what they can offer during the current economic climate.
Give More is a response to the fact that communities need us right now. It is an independent, growing movement of thousands of people from across the UK publicly committing to give more time, money or energy to the causes and charities they care about over the next 12 months, and encouraging others to do the same.
The Give More resources are a perfect introduction to taking action through the Giving Nation projects in your school.
The resources include:
* An assembly plan
* A 30 minute activity ideal for tutor time or as part of a lesson
* Materials to show that your school is part of the Give More campaign
* Give More wristbands for every student in one year group.
The Give More resources support Citizenship, PSHE, English and Religious Education. They also provide an opportunity to promote students’ spiritual, moral, social and cultural development.
The school with the highest percentage of students who pledge will win a Give More award and be invited to attend the Social Action Awards at HM Treasury on 25th October 2012 to receive it.
