Anniversary Citizenship Lesson Collection: 20 Lessons for 20 Years

As ACT approaches our 20th anniversary year, we would like to showcase and share the best lessons from teachers that encompass the knowledge, skills and understanding pupils develop through Citizenship education.

We invite teachers to submit a lesson that has inspired their pupils to engage actively with real issues and built their love for the subject.

We will select the top 20 lessons, sharing them on our website and with all our members across the UK.

We want to celebrate the fantastic work that is carried out every day in our Citizenship community of teachers as part of our 20th year. Lessons will be selected by a team of Citizenship experts including our teaching ambassadors, CEO and Head of Education in resources.

To submit a lesson, please ensure the following:

  • The lesson addresses the primary citizenship programme of study, secondary National Curriculum Citizenship or GCSE specification topic
  • You have created the lesson and/or have permission to share the content
  • Be free of copyright content
  • You have completed the entry summary below

Email the Entry Summary form and attach all accompanied resources to deliver the lesson (PowerPoint slides, worksheets, lesson plan) to info@teachingcitizenship.org.uk.

The deadline for entries is 17th September, 2021.
