First News Debate: Will leaders take action to prevent the climate crisis?

Use this week's First News debate (free resource) to get your pupils thinking and talking about the climate challenge, including how climate change affects us, why this is a global emergency, how the public can influence governments to take action and whether COP26 will successfully lead to positive change.

First News Climate Challenge

World leaders will be gathering in Glasgow for COP26 in November, and before Boris Johnson attends, he wants to hear from young people around the UK. So, what question would your child ask the UK government about what they are doing to solve the climate crisis? Or, do they want to tell the government their ideas for solutions?
