Non-Violent Action: A Force for Change

Key stage 3 • Quality Marked external resources

DECSY’s Non-Violent Action: A Force for Change lesson plans has successfully passed our quality assurance process and has been awarded the ACT Quality Mark for Citizenship Teaching Resources.

The ACT Quality Mark is our stamp of approval that a citizenship teaching resource is of high quality and educational value.

To receive the Quality Mark each resource has to go through a rigorous quality assurance process involving a panel of citizenship experts who review the resource against our quality criteria, the ACT principles for effective citizenship education.

Our endorsement of The Non-Violent Action: A Force for Change lesson plans published by DECSY is as follows:

These resources are based on high quality content and are a comprehensive introduction for younger students into non-violent protest and campaigning. The resources open up to a range of different case studies and lessons that explore interesting examples and actively encourage action. They employ an appropriate and wide range of teaching strategies and pedagogies that will engage students. Teachers will find the ‘Resource Guidance’ and pathway through lessons helpful in knowing where to get started in using the resources.
