Get set for the General Election!
Week 1:
During this introductory week, pupils develop their knowledge in Lesson 1 of what an election is. Developing their understanding of what is happening in their local communities as well as nationally. Additionally, pupils will begin to plan how the election will run in their school.
Lesson 1:
Lesson 1 will provide pupils the opportunity to learn what a General Election is, examining the stages the country will go through before voting on 4 July 2024. Pupils will also explore how the parallel election will work in their school.
Lesson 2:
Lesson 2 will allow pupils to develop their active citizenship skills by taking ownership of the election.
