What can we do about racism and inequality?

In the second lesson on race equality pupils explore historical and contemporary examples of how citizens have used different kinds of protest to bring about positive change in society. During the lesson the key questions explored include:

  • How can we create positive change in society?
  • Why do some protestors break the law?
  • Is it ever acceptable to break the law when trying to create change in society?
  • What can we do about racism and inequality in society?

The lesson uses video testimony and raises issues which some students may find sensitive or controversial.
