Teaching Citizenship Issue 60:

Make Space for Citizenship: Strengthening Citizenship for all

As educators, we often grapple with the challenge of finding space within an increasingly full curriculum. Yet it has never been more important to ensure that Citizenship retains its rightful place as a subject that equips young people with the knowledge, skills and values that they need to thrive as active participants in our democracy. This publication focuses on the Curriculum and Assessment Review, which presents us with a critical opportunity. It is a chance to advocate for stronger recognition of Citizenship as a national curriculum subject.

Learn more from national experts in the field of  curriculum design as well as practising teachers, academics and NGOs through in-depth features, news, resources, case studies and lesson plans.
