This lesson is part 1 of a sequence of 6 lessons addressing the key enquiry: How can we be informed consumers?
This lesson introduces students to consumerism and how to use money wisely, both economically and ethically. Students consider factors that affect how we choose to spend our money, including the importance of price and value for money. They then start to learn about some of the ethical considerations that influence the choices consumers make.
Students will work towards answering the following questions:
- How can we use our money wisely when we shop?
- Why is it important to make sure we use our money wisely?
- What ethical issues might we consider as consumers?
