Join us for this exciting webinar to help you demistfy economics and finance education, learn about the Bank of England and get beyond personal finance.

This subject knowledge enhancement session for teachers is led by Ann Whittaker, from the Bank of England's Education team. Ann will share her extenstive knowlege the role of the Bank in our economy and the work of the Education team to help you build your confidence in teaching financial and economic education.

Lear more about the Bank's EconoMe education resources, for primary and secondary aged pupils as well as the Bank's Ambassador programme offering talks to UK state secondary schools. This session will provide an important introduction to Economic and Financial Education as part of the Citizenship programme of study  - so definitely not to be missed. 

Ann Whittaker is an Education Analyst who works as part of a team responsible for the Bank of England’s Outreach & Education Programme.   

She helped to develop a series of teaching resources, linked to the various national curriculum, in order to help young people understand more about money, the economy and what the Bank does.  She also coordinates the Bank Ambassador outreach programme to state secondary schools across the UK. 

Prior to this she managed the Target 2.0 Interest Rate Challenge – the monetary policy competition run successfully by the Bank for 17 years.
