New membership packages for organisations committed to citizenship education

To support our growing community of people committed to the advancement of Citizenship education, we are delighted to announce the expansion of our membership packages.

What are the key changes?

Our new and improved membership packages reflect our desire to embed Citizenship across the curriculum, culture and community of schools nationwide, while also providing a network for others working in, or committed to citizenship education. The key change is that where previously we had three membership types (E-member, Individual and Organisation), where often Organisation membership would accommodate both schools and other types of organisations. We have therefore expanded our offer to include separate bespoke packages to suit both schools/colleges and other likeminded organisations working in this space. Both the new School and College Membership and Organisation Membership packages aim to provide services that are of specific benefit to these complementary, yet different audiences.

The four new membership packages are:

  • E-membership; this is our free membership option, but this only allows access to limited resources
  • Individual membership; provides single access to member benefits
  • School and College membership; allows up to 20 user logins for teaching teams and exclusive membership benefits
  • Organisation membership; tailored membership benefits aimed at universities, libraries, NGOs and other organisations with a commitment to citizenship education.

Regardless of which membership you opt for, you’ll join our mailing list to receive the latest Citizenship education news and insights.

Organisation membership benefits

Beyond supporting teacher and teaching teams through our existing memberships, we are excited to launch an Organisation Membership for institutions working in the Citizenship education space and who are not a school or college.

This new membership package will be hugely beneficial to organisations that have a vested interest, commitment and support Citizenship education. Organisation members can access discounted rates for our CPD courses and benefit from a broad range of guidance, materials and resources. In addition, Organisation members benefit from discounted rates to attend and/or exhibit at our annual national conference and other events. The membership also provides opportunities to attend special events and advertise on our website and in our publications. Any questions, please get in touch.

School and College membership benefits

In order to provide the best possible support to schools and colleges we have created a range of benefits that will benefit the entire teaching team within each institution.

A brand new model Citizenship curriculum for key stage 4 has now been released and we will be releasing brand new Key Stage 3 material soon. It contains schemes of work, lesson plans and resources. We are also continuing our offer of inclusive CPD sessions to School and College members throughout the 23/24 academic year.

Head to our School Leaders webpage to download our free guide, which has been designed to give schools a taste of the resources and tools available through an ACT School & College Membership and an insight into the value it could bring to your school, teaching staff and pupils.
