Helping your pupils get ready to transition from KS2 to KS3
Primary Citizenship education is an expectation of all schools. The DfE National Citizenship Programme of Study sets out what should be addressed in your curriculum.
This simple overview will help you discuss and consider whether your curriculum is addressing the key aspects of the subject and helping your pupils to get ready for secondary Citizenship which is a statutory National Curriculum subject.
We expect all primary schools to provide Citizenship education in accordance with the Programme of Study.
