ACT is looking for a temporary Membership and Office Administrator for our office in London. The role is for 18 hours per week until June 2014. GCSE results out today (22 August 2013) show a continued shift from the short course to the full course for GCSE Citizenship Studies. This is in line with other subjects and reflects recent changes by the DFE to school performance tables which will now only report results for full course GCSEs.
ACT Council has sent in its response to the latest consultation on the citizenship programme of study for the new National Curriculum. ACT Council continued the line that it had strongly supported during the first consultation in January 2013 - namely that the draft programme of study

ACT wants to recruit new Trustees to its Board to expand and enhance the expertise available to the Charity. We are particularly keen to recruit those who are committed to ACT’s mission and strategic aims, can contribute actively to the Board’s role in setting the overall strategic direction of the organisation to help ensure the organisation meets its objectives, is well managed, is in line with legal obligations and is financially sustainable and provide support and advice to staff in delivering ACT’s agreed programmes work.
