Why is registering to vote so important?
This lesson looks at how to register to vote, the voter registration drive, and why local elections matter in terms of power and control of councils.
This series of lessons is part of the 20th anniversary collection. Produced in conjunction with Ben Miskell, ACT Ambassador teacher and local councillor, the series aims to introduce your students to local government, councils and empower them to find out more about local elections. Lessons are aimed at KS3 and KS4 and can be used and adapted for post 16 students in sixth form and further education colleges.
